Second century Islam witnessed the epoch of systemizing Islamic law and legal methodologies. The motivation for developing a science of law was none other than a sense of responsibility to guide Muslims with the ability to engage the Quran and Sunnah correctly. While many were attempting this important task, the Muslim community rapidly recognised the brilliance of the four Imams, and after the late third century of Islam we find that people hardly adhered to any other Schools or approaches.
