Synopsis

One of the challenges that Muslims experience is not knowing if he has done enough; if his deeds impress God, if his knowledge is ever sufficient or if his amal is even noticed despite the amount of sins he has committed.

The name Al-Shakur is a display of the expansiveness of Allah’s love. He is the one who has given us the gift of life. Everything we see, love, and touch are because Allah has allowed it to be that way. Yet He tells us, He appreciates and accepts all deeds, no matter how small. He is all-atchful and all-grateful to us. Even when no one notices, Allah knows and appreciates.

A believer benefits from knowing that Allah is Al-Shakur. If Allah can be grateful to His servants when He has no need to be, and He continually forgives and rewards, then perhaps we can learn to be the same amongst ourselves.
