FIQH MU’AMALAT & JINAYAT:
TRANSACTIONS & CRIMINAL CODE

Overview

“Once the prayer is over, disperse throughout the land and seek from the bounty of Allah. And remember Allah much, so that you succeed.
” (Surah Al-Jumu'ah, Ayat 10)

The building of a thriving civilisation requires guidelines that direct society to work towards a common good that bears fruits of stability and growth, both in this temporal world and the eternal hereafter. While mankind has strived to formulate such regulations to facilitate societal growth, the religious directive infuses an enhanced perspective of this life, through God-consciousness and an awareness of the higher objectives of living.

The Islamic legal discourse, at its most practical sense, not only addresses the spiritual and intellectual nature of man and life, but also seeks to enhance social and communal affairs, to achieve the holistic objectives set out by God. Two such areas of concern, are financial matters and civilian legal affairs. The traditional syllabus of Fiqh, discusses business dealings and criminal law, right to the minutiae, providing a comprehensive and detailed framework for the community to build its very own legal perspective.

Open new chapters in the legal discourses of business transactions and criminal law, to understand the religious underpinnings that knit this worldly life of ours, to God-consciousness and the afterlife.
