The study of Hadith is an ongoing legacy that is also an art requiring distinct expertise, and most essentially, love for The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The Hadith sciences revolve around the key principles of understanding The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as a human being and as the final messenger of God to mankind, in addition to cultivating love for him ﷺ, learning from him ﷺ as the perfect teacher of God’s religion, while undertaking the commitment to protect him ﷺ from false representations and misuse of his ﷺ name and status.
We get to know The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ extensively through the Hadith literary tradition, and as a result, it is vital for all lovers of The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to acquaint themselves with the books that encrypt and store The Prophetic ﷺ Traditions. You can only love one when you know one, they say. The only way you can get to know The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is through the knowledge of Hadith.
There are many books of Hadith that attempt to encapsulate various aspects of The Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ life, ranging from books that compile the physical descriptions of The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, to the works that elucidate the most profound lessons and wisdoms of God’s law, taught by The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
