This is precisely the reason why The Quran contains countless stories from the past, to show us how experiential knowledge in human history can elevate us to a greater understanding of our current state. The Sunnah carries on, recording The Golden Era of Muhammadan ﷺ Islam. The life of The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his Companions are documented for us to learn more about the specific challenges and solutions that are made for our life as the final community, before the ends of times.
